Beijing has a rich history and many interesting cultures and traditions, dating back 3,000 years. There are many festivals celebrating important dates and other things. Celebrations are very colourful and include lots of traditional food, such as dumplings and spring rolls. Chinese culture is celebrated in daily life as well, many people participate in Tai Chi and regularly go to the Opera. Beijing’s history is also an important part of Beijing tourism. The Great Wall of China is one of the most popular tourist attraction in Beijing and a very important part of Chinese history. Another popular attraction is the Forbidden City which is an imperial palace from the Ming Dynasty. Last year in Beijing, it received 3,846 million tourists and generated a revenue of 706 billion Australian dollars.
